1. BY COUNTER TYPE: ELECTROMECHANICAL COUNTER OR ELECTRONIC COUNTER?
What is the difference between electromechanical counters and electronic counters?
Electromechanical counters consists of mechanical parts (disks) that are fixed on axles to generate count through the digits 0 through 9 that are marked on their edges. Electromechanical counter can be used as hour meter, pulse meter or pulse counter. Electromechanical counters areknown by its reliability, durability and low prices.
Electronic counters, also known as digital counters, consist of register type circuits such as flip-flops that can store bits, add and/or subtract bits forming the different countingfunctions.
2. BY COUNTER FUNCTION: PULSE, PRESET, HOUR OR MULTIFUNCTION ?
Hour counters are also known as digital timers when different timing functions are achievable such as on delay, off delay, etc like the FMC Series. Some electromechanical counters provide hour counting such as E1HM Series, where it can be used for general time counting in plants, houses and equipments.
Preset counters are also known as digital preset counters where multiple preset values are required.
Pulse / Hour counters are also known as Pulse / Hour meters since they provide two functions, hour meter and pulse counter.
Multifunction counters can be used multiple applications such as counting, measuring and recording time and/or speed.
3. BY MOUNTING: PCB, PANEL OR DIN ?
PCB: Where counter is mounted on printed circuit boards.
Panel: Where counter is mounted on panel
DIN: Where counter is mounted on a din rail inside a cabinet.
4. BY DISPLAY TYPE: MECHANICAL, LCD OR LED?
MECHANICAL
LCD: Single line or 2 lines.
LED: Single line or 2 lines.
5. BY POWER SUPPLY: BATTERY, AC, DC?
COUNTER SELECTION
We can help you select the perfect counter that suites your application. Simply by going to counter selection page, and based on your input in the drop down menus there, the system will generate the best solution for you. The below photo shows the different inputs you may want to select, the more input you select, the better the selection is.
ELECTROMECHANICAL COUNTERS
E2HM4 Series
Low cost, stepper motor driven hour meter for panel mount. General time counting, service intervals for measuring devices (respiratory ventilators, oxygen machines, dialysis machines, small appliances, UV lamps, display panels in vehicles.
E1HM35 Series
This is an electromechanical hour meter designed for DIN rail mounting. It is particularly suitable for distribution panel or control cabinets installations. It can be used for general time counting in plants, houses, and equipments.
E1CT4 Series
This range of very reliable and durable counters is indicated for applications where small dimensions and low power consumptions is a must: self powered devices, vending machines, automatic message systems.
E2CT4 Series
This series is similar to E1CT4 series but with less counting digits (5). The E2CT4 series features the battery operation and reset functions.
ECH4 Series
This device is a combination of 2 instruments into a single housing. It features an hour meter in combination of pulse counter. It is suitable to measure service intervals together with counting, respiratory ventilators, UV lamps and small appliances.
ELECTRONIC COUNTERS
DCT2A Series
This is a preset counter particularly suitable as a replacement for electromechanical counters. No power supply required. The inputs are isolated and features a relay output. suitable for all application where multiple preset values are required.
DCT86A Series
This counter has a fast counting input and can be used for piece counting on die cutter, presses, extruders, woodworking machines, drilling machines, pick and place, guillotines and special purpose vehicles.
DMF14 Series
This multifunction display can be used for a multitude of applications. Can be used for piece counting, measuring and recording speed for positioning, time measuring. All values are scalable.
DMF6 Series
This multifunction counter has a fast counting input and can be used for a wide range of applications: batch counting with subtraction of faulty pieces, cut to length, speed regulation, ratio measuring, run time.
DMF8 Series
This multifunction display can be used for a multitude of applications. Can be used for piece counting, measuring and recording speed for positioning, time measuring. All values are scalable.
FKA Series
24 *24mm up to 2 inputs up-down counters for flush mounting. NPN, PNP or voltage inputs allow connection to any type of sensors or open collector output. The front key, which can be locked, allows fast and easy counting reset.
FKC Series
48*48mm preset digital counter for flush mounting with 2 lines LCD display, programmable as impulse counter (with sign), frequency meter or tim meter.
FMC Series
48*48mm digital timer for flush mounting with 2 lines LCD display, with many indicators to show the set up of the device. Wide time range (up to 999999h) and 8 timing functions programmable via front keys. Connection by detachable screw-type connector.
FSA Series
24*48mm hour meters for flush mounting. 10 to 260 V AC or DC input. The front key, which can be locked, allows fast and easy input reset. NPN input to set the time range (Mode) and to enable the device reset.
